A quintessential seaside classic ever since major Melbourne restaurateurs John and Frank Van Haandel took over some 17 years ago, this gazebo on the beach is as informal as it gets, with timber floors, faux-Gauguin oils and superb, relaxed service. Chef Anthony Musarra’s modish, seafood-centric menus with Italian accents are consistently wonderful.
