Unquestionably the Bangkok restaurant of the moment, Spring—owned by Thai movie star Phol Tantasathien—is in a stunning midcentury house with floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto a vast, lush lawn. Everyone is beguiled by the setting, but the excellent contemporary Thai food, which diners consume on sofas covered with soft pillows, more than holds its own against all the glamour. Finish at Summer Chocolate House, the dessert bar in a wee cottage on the grounds.
