This Bund newcomer is owned by the Suntory group, a multinational restaurant group and liquor distributor, hence the “Sun” part of the name. The “Aqua” refers to the restaurant’s Aquarium Bar, with its massive floor-to-ceiling aquarium filled with exotic fish and sharks. But bombast aside, this is actually one of Shanghai’s best spots for superfresh, value-priced sushi—served in a football field–size dining room with a huge open kitchen, or in a private room with arched windows overlooking the Pudong district’s futuristic skyline.
