In a centuries-old courtyard house, Mei Mansion was inspired by the life of Mei Lanfang, a Peking opera star from the 1930s. Subdued lighting illuminates the numerous fountains, inlaid pebble floors, antique wood furnishings and decadently embroidered old theater costumes. The menu is based on the Shanghai-style dishes developed by the eponymous singer.
