Pastry Chefs Recreate the Most Memorable Oscar Fashion as Cookies

By Noah Kaufman |

The Oscars are just over a week away, which means that we are also just over a week away from E!’s line-up of mani-cams, 360-degree video that shows every stitch of a dress and the single most-asked question on all of Oscar Sunday, “Who are you wearing?” Now there are some cookies that will have to answer that question too.

The International Culinary Center –which has turned out the likes of chefs David Chang and Dan Barber–went to extreme lengths to recreate some of the most famous dresses in red carpet history for a Cookie Couture project. Based on designs ranging from Lupita Nyong’o’s low-cut Prada piece from last year to Angelina Jolie’s black velvet Versace number with a slit up to her belly button, each cookie took over eight hours to put together. The only thing missing is Ryan Seacrest standing next to them comparing who has the better hair.
