When he's not launching a TV show, writing books or being an all-around badass, superstar chef Eddie Huang is in the kitchen. And the kitchen can be grueling.
If there's one thing chefs need most (other than a stove, a pan, and a really good palate), it's comfortable footwear.
Mario Batali has opted for his infamous Crocs, but the stylish Huang has partnered with Adidas to launch two fashion-forward "chef shoes." The Huang's World collection features a pair of Superstar 80s with flame-retardant, waterproof black suede and Adilette slides with an old-world map that highlights his culinary influences.
The collaboration goes on sale this Saturday, October 8 and the shoes sell for $150 and $50, respectively. While we think the kitchen-tested, chef-approved soles are a great idea, we still can't help but think that one pot of spilled tomato sauce will destroy these sooner rather than later.
You'll either have to trust that these kicks will do their job or cook very, very gracefully.
