If you're still in recovery mode after Sunday night's season seven premiere of The Walking Dead, perhaps all you need is a lollipop or a chocolate-covered pretzel. And what better place to get your sugar fix than Jeffery Dean Morgan's Rhinebeck, NY candy store, Samuel's Sweet Shop?

Sure, you may be hating on Negan Morgan for all eternity, but the actor's foray into the sweets-selling business is actually quite heartwarming.

After a move to upstate New York, Morgan and buddy Paul Rudd (ever heard of him?) befriended previous shop owner Ira Gatner. Sadly, Gatner passed away a few years ago and the actors decided to purchase the candy shop to keep their friend's legacy alive.

"We just didn't want it to turn into a smoothie stand or something," Morgan revealed on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert

It's going to take pounds of Sour Patch Kids and batches of homemade fudge to right the wrongs of his character, but it's good to know that he's bringing smiles to people in a world outside of television.
