If there's one thing we've learned about Gordon Ramsay from his time haranguing poor business proprietors on Hell's Kitchen and Hotel Hell, it's that the loudmouthed chef is anything but subtle. So of course, leave it to him to let the cat out of the bag when it comes to a customer's surprise marriage proposal planned at his eponymous Pub & Grill in Las Vegas. The incident was actually reported by Chef Ramsay himself while speaking at the Vegas Uncork'd festival.

According to the Daily Mail, a maître d’ informed Ramsay about the soon-to-be groom's intentions, so the chef ordered two glasses of Champagne sent to the table. When the congratulatory bubbly had been popped and poured, Ramsay approached the table to offer his best wishes to the newly intended. The only problem was, the guy hadn't popped the question yet. In typical Ramsay fashion, he tore into the maître d’ for his poor communication of the timing of the evening's events. There isn’t video of the event but we have to assume that it involved the words “bloated, incompetent cow” and "may your life together be f***ing magical." This comes after a previous proposal at Ramsay's Boulevard restaurant was ruined when the British groom's passport wouldn't allow him into the United States due to stricter travel laws. Hardly Chef Ramsay's fault, but if you're planning a Vegas marriage proposal, perhaps stick to something safer and classier and celebrity chef-less, like a buffet.
