Breaking Bad Gets Its Own Vodka

If Better Call Saul isn’t filling the void left in your life after Breaking Bad ended, now you can drink away your pain with another spin-off of the hit TV show: Breaking Bad vodka.

Vodka brand Blue Ice has released a limited-edition “Heisenberg” vodka in bottles bearing three of the show’s iconic phrases:“Tread Lightly,” “Say My Name” and “The One Who Knocks.” The product is an official collaboration with Sony Pictures Television, which even got creator Vince Gilligan behind the booze. “The Dude had his White Russians, the Blues Brothers had their Night Train… and now Heisenberg has his very own Blue Ice Vodka!” said Gilligan in a press release.

Working with Blue Ice does seem like a natural match for Breaking Bad, which prominently featured a blue form of methamphetamines. In the show, the meth went by the name “blue sky,” though “ice” is also slang for the drug.

But beyond that connection and the branded bottles, Heisenberg vodka is just ordinary Blue Sky vodka. I don’t know if Walter White would approve of that; he always insisted his product be unique. Maybe we'd better call Saul.
