In honor of Ruth Reichl's new novel, Delicious!, which goes on sale today, we’re inviting you on a virtual treasure hunt to find an exclusive recipe from its pages.

Today, Ruth Reichl debuts her first novel, Delicious!, which is about an aspiring young food writer with an incredible palate and a mysterious past. Billie Breslin moves to New York to work at a renowned magazine, but begins to explore her own identity after the publication is unceremoniously shut down. Her story, woven with Reichl’s ethereal descriptions of every taste and culinary discovery, intersects with that of Lulu Swan, an adolescent corresponding with the one and only James Beard during World War II. To uncover the letters, Breslin has to follow something of a card catalog treasure hunt.
