Foraging in Los Angeles
I used to live in Topanga Canyon, and you can forage for hours up there—you can find stinging nettle, mugwort and so many fun edible herbs and plants. I use them to make tinctures and teas.
I collect spring water; that's what I drink 24-7 and what I cook with. There's an incredible database called findaspring.com. It shows springs around the world, and people can input locations. If I know about a spring, I'll add it.
