Title: Guest blogger
Background: After seven amazing years at F&W, I left in the fall of 2010 to wander around Europe, hoping to enrich and broaden my life through new eating, drinking and cultural experiences, and a better understanding of food, from how it's made to how it's enjoyed. When I'm not traveling, I split my time between Zurich, where I'm constantly in awe of the amazing produce, and the U.S., which will always be home.
Once-a-week treat: A Cervelat sausage and crusty bürli roll from the Sternen Grill, taken to-go, to eat along the banks of Lake Zurich for prime views ofthe Alps.
Favorite new hangout: The light-filled second floor café at Confiserie Sprüngli on Zurich's Paradeplatz for the most divine hot chocolate topped with chocolate shavings.
