Meatball Spiedini

After seeing the new 3-D movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, which is loosely based on the 1978 children's book by Judi and Ron Barrett about a tiny town called Chewandswallow with a peculiar weather pattern (it rains soup and juice, snows mashed potatoes and hails meatballs), I've been inspired to try a few recipes from the F&W archives:

Alison Attenborough and Jamie Kimm’s Meatball Spiedini, pictured here (total time is only 25 minutes)

F&W's own Melissa Rubel Jacobson’s Fontina Stuffed Veal Meatballs (the surprise inside each of her tender meatballs: a molten cheese center)

Jeff Orr's Turkey-Date Meatballs with Lentils and Yogurt Sauce (healthy and zesty)

and these 10 recipes that are fantastic in any weather.
