Where are they now?

Silverton, who opened La Brea Bakery and Campanile with fellow Best New Chef and former business partner Mark Peel in 1989, has since sold her stake in both. She opened Pizzeria Mozza in November 2006 as the first installment of a two-restaurant project; the second part, Osteria Mozza, is scheduled to open in July 2007 and will feature a special bar where Silverton will serve unusual mozzarella dishes. She also published her seventh cookbook, A Twist of the Wrist: Quick Flavorful Meals with Ingredients from Jars, Cans, Bags and Boxes, in 2007.
