Where are they now?

After opening some of the hottest restaurants in Manhattan in the 1990s, such as Matthew’s and Canteen, Kenney endured several professional setbacks, including the closing of all his restaurants and the collapse of his restaurant group in 2003. Kenney converted to eating only raw food and in 2004 opened Pure Food and Wine. (He is no longer affiliated with the restaurant). Since then, Kenney has created a raw-food empire that includes The Plant, a raw-food production and educational facility in Brooklyn; Blue Green, a small group of organic juice cafés; and Organic Umbrella, a lifestyle company through which he plans to launch FreeFoods, an upscale organic retail and catering business, among other ventures.
