Twenty years ago, we picked our first Best New Chefs—which included future megastars Daniel Boulud and Thomas Keller.
We're sure this year's winners will make us as proud as any of those who have preceded them. These cooks come from all around America—from California to Missouri to Vermont--and include two from Chicago, two women and a chef at a vegetarian restaurant.
