That changed with the opening of the Bulgari Hotel, which the luxury jeweler launched with the Ritz-Carlton in a former convent, set on an acre of private gardens with a pool lined with gold tiles. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, it’s worth having a Campari and soda with the fresh mozzarella and tomato Caprese salad on one of the white-linen couches at the alfresco lounge, along with the rest of the city’s beautiful people.
