Baglioni Hotel
The new London Baglioni, opposite Kensington Palace, is the last word in luxe: big rooms with Pederfoli sheets and Illy espresso machines, a moodily lit bar where the entire world of fashion seems to drink, and staff who look as if they've been hand-picked by Valentino. DETAILS Doubles from $400; 60 Hyde Park Gate, Kensington; 011-44-20-7368-5700.
Soho Hotel
An old parking lot has morphed into London's newest, hippest, most exciting hotel. Veteran hoteliers Tim and Kit Kemp have done it again: a good restaurant and great in-room dining, flat-screen TVs, two on-site cinemas (with pony-skin seatswhat else?) and a cast of celebs who've already made the hotel their unofficial club in Soho. One of London's best addresses right now. DETAILS Doubles from $460; 4 Richmond Mews, Soho; 011-44-20-7559-3000.
The Cumberland
Centrally located Marble Arch is suddenly a cool place to stay, thanks to the revamped Cumberland, with its art-gallery-like lobby, Egyptian cotton sheets and plasma-screen TVs. Rhodes, TV chef Gary Rhodes's new modern British fine dining restaurant, is due to open late this summer. DETAILS Doubles from $300; Great Cumberland Pl., Marble Arch; 011-44-870-333-9280.
