Kabinett Dry wine made from normally ripened grapes.
Spätlese Dry to off-dry wine produced from riper grapes picked several days following the harvest.
Auslese Sweet wine produced from selectively picked grapes.
Beerenauslese Very sweet wine made from individually selected grapes that have usually been affected by botrytis, or noble rot.
Trockenbeerenauslese The richest, sweetest and priciest of all German wines, made from botrytized, or overripe, grapes.
Eiswein Very sweet wine produced from grapes frozen on the vine. It can age for a very long time.
