Snapshot: Virginia

More and more wine drinkers are taking note of Virginia, for both the beauty of its vineyards and the ever-improving quality of its wines. The top grape in terms of quality is still the aromatic white variety Viognier. The crisp, pear-scented 2006 Chrysalis Vineyards ($29) is among the best.
