Wine grapes are grown in Pennsylvania from Lake Erie in the northwest to the Philadelphia countryside in the southeast, with varieties ranging from Cabernet Sauvignon to Vignoles. For one of the state’s best bottles, try the svelte, appley 2005 Chaddsford Miller Estate Vineyard Chardonnay ($28).
