Snapshot: Missouri

    By Ray Isle

Missouri was once the most significant wine-producing state, with Americans drinking more than two million gallons of its wines each year in the 1880s. It’s still the home of the underappreciated, spicy Norton grape variety. Look for the earthy 2002 Hermannhof ($20) or the blackberry-rich 2004 Stone Hill ($19).
