Drive south along the Kohala Coast Check out one of Hawaii's most beautiful beaches at Hapuna Beach state park or snorkel at Kahaluu Beach Park, where the water is so clear you don't need a mask.
Explore Hulihee Palace About 60 miles south of Waimea, in Kailua, is a New Englandstyle mansion made of lava rock (808-329-1877).
