Cooking with Honey

Some tips for cooking with honey:

1. If your honey has naturally hardened and crystallized, simply submerge the jar in very warm water. The honey will slowly liquefy.

2. When measuring honey or other sticky ingredients, lightly coat or spray the spoon or cup with vegetable oil first. The honey will slip right off.

3. If a recipe doesn’t name a specific type of honey, choose a distinctly flavored honey if it’s the star of the dish. If the honey is merely a sweetener, choose a neutral-tasting variety, like clover.
