One of Meier's most popular projects. The white metal panels outside are typical of Meier's style. The ramps of the large, circular atrium are a nod to Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim Museum in New York City.

A big-business commission bordering a public garden, with a curving glass facade that looks toward the Seine. Between the building's two main wings soars an entry hall with a glass skylight that bathes the interior in sunshine, much as in the Church of the Year 2000 now going up in Rome.
The Getty Center, Los Angeles, 1997
It took 13 years to conceive and complete the "commission of the century." Along with his signature white metal panels, Meier used rough-hewn Italian travertine to link the buildings to the surrounding hills.
Perry Street Condominiums, Manhattan, 2001
