Admittedly, I have an ambivalent take on holiday parties. On the one hand, I like to indulge; when people come over for drinks, I buy the best alcohol and serve plenty of it. But I also have a wholesome streak, and that part of me would be happy offering fruit juices. Since winter is the best time of year for citrus and many tropical fruits--especially pineapples and pomegranates with their juicy crimson seeds--I like to celebrate with lavish cocktails made with seasonal fruits. Here are seven recipes (and one for a special ingredient) to kick off the festivities.
