Books
The Naked Chef, Jamie Oliver's first book, was published in 1998 and has sold more than half a million copies worldwide. His second book, already out in the United Kingdom, will be published in America in the fall.
Restaurants
Oliver is the consulting chef at the London private club Monte's (164 Sloane St.; 011-44-207-245-0896), which is open to the public for lunch. His influence is clear in dishes like carpaccio of herb-encrusted beef fillet.
TV
The Naked Chef, imported from the BBC, airs on the Food Network Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. It's a mix of cooking show and video diary. Oliver cooks for his band after a gig; he makes dinner for his family, and they go to the dog track.
Periodicals
Oliver has a weekly food column in the Saturday Times of London. He's also a contributing editor at British GQ, where he reports on the latest food and music trends.
Music
Oliver has described his rock band, Scarlet Division, as "a cross between the Pretenders and Garbage." Its single "Sundial" was recently released by Sony in England and is available at Amazon.com.
