Mario Batali's kitchen has the perfect layout for a TV chef. The range and refrigerator are in full view of guests, while the cleanup area with the sink and dishwasher is out of sight. The distance between the peninsula and the stove is twice as wide as in most kitchens, so there's plenty of room for people to walk through without getting in Batali's way.
