Vineyard Shopping
While I bring a pantry with me to Martha's Vineyard, I'm also a regular at these stores.
Ben & Bill's Chocolate Emporium (125 Circuit Ave., Oak Bluffs; 508-696-0008). A great spot for freshly made ice cream. The kids are allowed such treats here as gummy worms, fudge and jelly beans.
The Black Dog Bakery Cafe (509 State Rd., Vineyard Haven; 800-626-1991). A Vineyard institution for fresh bread.
Edgartown Seafood Market (138 Cooke St., Edgartown; 508-627-3791). My main seafood source. Our last meal on the Vineyard is always boiled lobster.
Morning Glory Farm (290 W. Tisbury Rd., Edgartown; 508-627-9003). Their lettuces and herbs are superb, as are all their varieties of freshly picked corn.
The Old Stone Bakery (5 Healey Way, Oak Bluffs; 508-693-3688). My husband and I often bicycle over in the morning for a quick espresso and a raspberry turnover. The doughnuts and cookies are wonderful, too.
