The recent arrival of a number of great new Irish whiskeys should not overshadow the wonderful old standbys. They are:
Black Bush A premium whiskey from the Bushmills Distillery in Northern Ireland, Black Bush is dark, heavy and delicious.
Bushmills Original Sometimes known as White Bush for the color of its label, this light and approachable blended whiskey is the signature Bushmills brand.
Jameson Made at the Midleton Distillery on Ireland's southern coast, Jameson is remarkably complex for a relatively inexpensive whiskey. It is the most popular brand of Irish worldwide.
John Power & Son Although Jameson may be favored abroad, Power is the best-seller at home. Refined and assured, it deserves to be better known.
