2003 J. Hofstätter Kolbenhof Gewürztraminer ($42) An aromatically striking, rich and densely weighted white. This is one of Hofstätter's most acclaimed wines.

2004 J. Hofstätter Lagrein ($21) A rich, meaty, slightly rustic red made from the native Lagrein grape (think a wilder sort of Syrah), with soft tannins and notes of black fruit and spice.

1997 J. Hofstätter Barthenau Vigna S. Urbano ($80) A wonderfully aromatic Pinot with notes of earth and cherries that can still age for years.
