Ingredient: Chipotles in Adobo Sauce

Canned chipotles in adobo sauce—dried and smoked red jalapeños in a sweet tomato sauce with a vinegary tang—can add a smoky, spicy kick to all kinds of foods. Finely chop the chipotles then stir them into soup or mayonnaise or add them to barbecue sauce or corn salad, as in the recipes here from F&W's Grace Parisi.
