Raveneau and Dauvissat are collectible names, but these offer great value.
Domaine Billaud-Simon A highly reliable producer of classic Chablis at fair prices; its premiers crus range from $34 to $42 a bottle.
Domaine Christian Moreau Père & Fils This father-and-son team turns out an array of exemplary bottlings; its village 2004 Chablis ($23) is a juicy, minerally wine.
Domaine Laroche Michel Laroche is the only Chablis producer who bottles all his wines with a screw cap. His Saint Martin Chablis is a very good value ($25).
Simonnet-Febvre Of its wide range of wines, the 2005 Vaillons Chablis is an excellent buy ($22). Domaine William Fèvre While Fèvre wines are much sought-after by serious Chablis drinkers, they're still quite reasonably priced ($16 to $90 a bottle).
