Casablanca Valley

Famous for its white wines, especially Chardonnays, which range from tropical to more mineral in quality. Veramonte is the star producer.

Colchagua Valley

A warm region that’s home to a wide range of varietals, such as Syrah and Cabernet. Star producers include Casa Lapostolle and Montes.

Limarí

Another new cool-climate region (in the mountainous north of Chile), whose promise has spurred quite a few wineries to develop vineyards in the area. Star producers include Casa Tamaya and Tabalí.

Maipo

The well-established area is particularly respected for its Cabernet-based reds. Star producers include Almaviva, Concha y Toro and Santa Rita.

San Antonio

This relatively new viticultural region seems to be good for cool-climate varietals like Pinot Noir. Star producers include Casa Marin and Matetic.
