Agiorgitiko Nicknamed "the blood of Hercules," this is the noblest red grape
in Greece, producing deep, rich reds, notably in Nemea.
Assyrtiko The most important white grape of the Mediterranean, producing a
dry full-bodied wine with a lush, exotic bouquet.
Roditis The white grape of Patras, producing a crisp, dry medium-bodied wine.
Savatiano The only white grape grown in central Greece, producing both sweet and dry medium-bodied whites. Often used in the making of retsina.
Xinomavro One of the most important red wine grapes in northern Greece, producing vigorous, dry full-bodied reds.
