On cross-training "I've always been a runner, but I got hurt preparing for a marathon and realized I needed to do something more, so I started cycling. Now I run four days a week and ride two."
On strength training "Three days a week I'll do 100 sit-ups and 50 to 75 push-ups. If I'm ambitious, I'll do pull-ups."
On snacking "I eat lots of pistachio nuts and almonds. They taste great, have 'good' fats and I find they satisfy hunger better than carbs."
On watching his cholesterol "I used to believe I could eat whatever I wanted because I worked out, but my cholesterol was high. Now I eat lots of vegetables. I'd eat fish five days a week if my family would too."
