In lieu of place cards, Mary Krueger and Andrés of Carmona Design created "crystal pearls" by buying acrylic balls (70 cents each from Industrial Plastics; 212-226-2010), having them monogrammed and setting them on scallop shells ($6.50 for four from The Shell Store; 727-360-0586). Re-create this look with art-supply-shop staples: Paint shells with a glue called gilding size; press on silver leaf. "Thumbprint" salt and pepper shakers by Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. ($235 a pair; 800-843-3269). Silver-leafed seed pods and peonies in a sterling silver cup by Ali Tayar for H. Theophile ($150; 212-645-2216). Like a bracelet, 22-gauge silvery wire from an art-supply shop encircles a dragée ($10 a package from N.Y. Cake & Baking Dist.; 212-675-2253) and napkin ($20 from Takashimaya; 212-350-0100).
