The Menu
When a misprint forced us to replace the menus, restringing them on the ribbon was easy. A handwriting analysis from Graphology Consulting Group (212-387-8100) is tied to the back of each guest's menu.

The Settings
We alternated between leather desk blotters and rice-paper mats. These were backdrops to Daniel Boulud's square plates, our menu cards and magnifying glasses from Authentic Models (800-888-1992).

The Place Cards
Instead of using place cards, we sent the guests' signatures to lettering artist Karen Charatan (201-930-9608). She traced them onto napkins with a fabric marker, then with paint.
