Von Strasser Winery
Situated on Diamond Mountain, this small, family-owned winery was established by Rudy von Strasser, who began his career as the first American intern to work at the renowned French winery Château Lafite Rothschild. Today, the von Strasser Winery is known for its Cabernet Sauvignons, most produced from single vineyards. The main winery is housed in a restored 1880’s barn, and the grounds also include hillside caves for barrel aging. Available by appointment only, tours may include a tasting on the quiet, oak-shaded patio or a more in-depth tasting with cheese or chocolate pairings, served in one of the caves.
