Pride Mountain Vineyards
Atop Spring Mountain, this winery was started by the Pride family in 1990, with current winemaker Sally Johnson. Housed within the remnants of an 1890 structure, the tasting room incorporates the original stones of the building with a wood interior and exterior to create a large cabin-like setting with views of Mt. St. Helena. Visitors can make appointments to tour the vineyards and 23,000-square-feet of underground caves beneath; or procure the "summit experience," which offers a discussion of vineyard management and ends with a private tasting of limited library wines in the elegant cellar room of the caves.
