Visitors to the Planeta Winery in Menfi do not just come for the wide range of classic Sicilian vintages like grecanico, moscato di noto, and frappato, as well as the newer syrahs and chardonnays. They also come to access the winemaking wisdom dating back to 1700s in the private library. Inside the infernotto, guests can experience the evolution of the company and its techniques by sampling bottle after bottle, year to year, since opening in 1995. Planeta also devotes considerable effort to its olive oil production, offering several traditional and de-stoned varieties for sale.
