This winery is located on the Cluver family’s De Rust Estate, a nearly 6,000-acre property that includes fruit orchards, a concert amphitheatre, and a restaurant serving fresh produce from an on-site garden. A pebbled path leads to the tasting center, its wooden tables and chairs hand-carved by one of the family members. Established in 1896, the winery currently produces a variety of vintages, including a citrusy Chardonnay, a sweet berry—flavored Pinot Noir, and one of the country’s few dry Gewurtztraminers. The winery is open to the public Monday through Saturday, though groups of six or more should call ahead.
