Although the property's history dates back to 1886, this St. Helena winery, located along Route 29, didn't get its current moniker until 1939, when three partners purchased it and combined their names to establish Freemark Abbey. The present-standing stone facility finished construction in 1899, but the main building has since been updated to include a tasting room that is open daily. Here, visitors can choose from several tasting options: guests can pick four wines from the current releases, exclusively sample current Cabernet Sauvignons, or try a library tasting of older vintage Cabernet Sauvignons from the 1980’s to present.
