Originating as a single plot of Chardonnay grapes, the Dutton-Goldfield winery now has 80 vineyards covering 1,000 acres in the Russian River Valley. In addition to its Chardonnay, the winery is also known for its Pinot Noir, as well as smaller batches of Syrah, Gewurztraminer, Zinfandel, and Pinot Blanc. The tasting room in Sebastopol has a modern, almost laboratory-like design with white floor tiles, a curved laminate bar, and white walls brightened by colorful contemporary artwork. For a small tasting fee, the staff serves samples of signature wines like the Devil’s Gulch Pinot Noir and Dutton Ranch Chardonnay.
