Located in the countryside of southwest Sicilily, this Menfi winery is the largest of the Planeta family’s six. Approximately 300 acres of vineyards and rolling hills surround the family's private residences and the winery, which are housed in pink-washed buildings with terra-cotta rooftops and a stone courtyard. There are two on-site wine cellars, and tastings are held in the wood-furnished library, which has a substantial collection of books about wine, some of them written in the 16th century. Winery visits and tastings should be booked at least two days in advance.
