Acacia Winery
Founded by Diageo Chateau & Estates—also the owner of notable Napa wineries BV and Provenance—Acacia is a relatively secluded facility specializing in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals. Located halfway between Sonoma and Napa in the Carneros region, the winery is simple in appearance, with a sheet-metal roof and off-white stucco walls. A large veranda provides distant views of downtown San Francisco and the San Pablo Bay, as does the front garden, which is available for picnics. Appointment-only tastings may include Acacia’s Marsh Chardonnay, which was created to raise profits for the restoration of the Napa-Sonoma Marshes Wildlife Area.
