Royal Opera House
A stunning Covent Garden landmark, the Royal Opera House is one of the world’s greatest opera houses. The Grade I-listed building was built in 1858 following a fire in the previous theatre and retains its period character to this day. The venue is home not only to the Royal Opera but also the Royal Ballet, the Royal Opera Chorus, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and ROH2. Two smaller venues, the Linbury Studio Theatre and Clore Studio, host various experimental and independent dance and music works.
