A pretty cream–and–blue green bakery, Sugar specializes in old-fashioned cookies (chocolate chip, ginger molasses) as well as glamorous spins on Southern classics. Offered only on Thursdays: a cupcake version of the Lady Baltimore, sherry-soaked figs and raisins on a light almond cake topped with a seven-minute frosting.
