Located in the NoLita neighborhood, Wine Therapy has keyed into a growing demand for organic and biodynamic wines. Open since 2004, this small wine shop aims to promote what the French call terroir, a group of vineyards (or even vines) from specific regions sharing the same soil, climate, and wine making savoir-faire, which give each wine a specific character. While it deliberately lacks big name brands, the store's selection of small, off-the-beaten-track producers is expansive, and the majority of bottles are priced under $20. Wine Therapy also hosts tastings on Saturdays from 5p.m. to 8 p.m.
