Serving some of the best gelato in the city for more than three decades, this tiny artisanal chocolate shop is situated behind a narrow glass storefront in the Santa Croce neighborhood. The family-run company has its own cocoa plantation in Santo Domingo, and all of the cocoa beans are toasted, refined, and cured in Vestri’s Arezzo laboratory. Lining the shop’s glass cases, the resulting confections include handmade truffles, pralines, and chocolate bars. However, Vestri is best known for its thick hot chocolate and all-natural gelato, available in flavors like chili chocolate, autumn fig, and white chocolate with wild strawberry.
